As a kid I think it’s very easy to name any character on any of my books (or any series of books) after it. You may be right. But when it comes to choosing a book series, it can be tricky, because a character, once named, becomes very long and very difficult to search for.
I love that this elf is a hero. The elf was the hero in the series that I wrote. A hero, in this case, who also happens to be the main character. There are lots of different kinds of heroines, but there is no one like my elf—except probably for the elf who is immortal with a very short lifespan, who likes to go on adventures and live in the forest.
If you have any thoughts I might be interested in hearing about, let me know.
Please let us know your favorite elf and we will try to add in future posts. New blog: This elf is a very good role model, you should add a couple of books of his to your tome. There is also the possibility to name him after a famous person (Bud, Bud Light, Budweiser) as that would be an appropriate addition.
A lot of people have come up with very creative ways of choosing ‘last names’ when they are short (for example, for short women like me). But I think when I’ve met people with long last names I don’t think it made sense, I couldn’t possibly think of what I was going to call myself if I ever had to go by a short or middle name at all! I think names are a very personal thing.
One of my favorite authors and illustrators who I really like, is the Canadian writer, Dan Brown. I also find it a lot easier to be creative when the story line is not overly complicated. So I think it would be a great idea to add a very long last name named after him such as, Dan Brown’s last name of Brown. There are tons of stories about his life, so a very creative suggestion could be, Dan Brown DBN.
