The next generation of gaming consoles and PC software, will allow a game to be played on your television, without the need to actually go through a server. So far all Fortnite has relied on is a PC with the game running on it. In order to access games via the PC, the consumer must either be a PC owner or a PC gamer. Because the game’s servers must be on a PC, gamers can only access the game by going to their local game store.
Instead, games like Fortnite are going to utilize virtual reality platforms that are accessible to people who have their own console. Not only do you get to see your favorite game or TV show, but you are able to stream the game anywhere from anyplace in the room. The next generation of video gaming consoles is also going to have some serious competition, for the best console game and best PC software available.
I think I have mentioned recently how important the “game economy” is to a gaming economy. As a game economy grows it is easier for gaming companies to buy up the other people who are selling games and make them all into rich individuals. In order to be in a game economy there must be enough sales to cover operational costs, and enough gamers to spend the $$$ to buy new PCs, new PS4, or new Xbox.
