You’ve often wondered where a man’s name comes from? Well, with our new collection of male Norse names, we’ve all been wondering how long these names have been around and which is the coolest name you’ve come up with. From Ragnar, from Valhallrn, from Lagerthjui, and from Vathar, to Aeternum, Jann, and Aras, there’s a cool Norse name for nearly every man out there.
Ages have come and gone for these great names, and that means we really have some good ones that can go around in our family, but you might notice that some of our names aren’t completely original. Most have a Scandinavian spin or a modern American influence.
There is no one name that represents one person, all the names are great on their own, but its been a while since weve put out a collection of Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Icelandic, Finnish and some Celtic names. This is pretty cool because these names arent hard to find for a modern person to understand, just for the name collectors.
If youve always wanted to get a name from Norse mythology or Norse mythology in general, there there are 8 great male names that theres just no doubt that this is what youre looking for. These 8 names, arent all that out there, as our collection of Nordic names are just too good to leave out.
This collection of names was built as a result of a survey of over 4,000 people from nearly every part of the country. Many Norse mythology nerds have come across these Norse names and have either wanted them or thought they could work. Weve tried our best to find a name that we all enjoyed and can remember, a name that is familiar and one that isnt hard to pronounce.
Weve thought it was pretty fun to turn this into a collection of names, just so weve been able to feature a few of these names. The names weve included are the best Nordic names, but they dont all sit neatly within our categories. This wouldnt be the best collection of names, if it only consisted of the top names in each category. Weve decided to keep each of our categories separate, as our list is just too good to just leave out.
There are some great names that dont really have a category to them, such as Harpies, Witches etc. Weve decided to include all the categories, just so it doesnt turn into a confusing mess of categories. This is just an attempt to make a little easier browsing, as it doesnt really take more than a couple of minutes to sort them however we like.
