It has been a very hectic week for me. Not only have I been attending college but I am working and doing free-lance work on the side! My big test was on Wednesday and it was really that test that put me behind on my freelance work. I have been working as soon as I get out of college straight through late at night on free-lance work. I am very tired!
But I am afraid today is not such a beautiful day. Before I go off to college I usually help my younger sister take care of our small parakeet that we named “Atoli”. I give her fresh food and water every morning before I go. This morning was the same I am afraid it was the afternoon that was completely different. I came home to notice that the food I had put for her was untouched. Atoli was lying down on the very bottom of her cage. It was a very sad moment for me and my sister. As we adored her and spoiled her soo much! We had her since Spring which isn’t that long ago but I still grew attached to her.
We had talked continuously about getting her a new friend but since she passed away we decided to get 2 parakeets which we would love just as much. We absolutely adore Atoli but I don’t think I could stay one day looking at her empty cage. My sister and I went out on a wild search to find 2 baby parakeets. We were in luck! We found a bunch of baby hand-fed parakeets. We picked out 2 a blue one and a green one. They are absolutely gorgeous! I must post pictures of them.
I cleaned Atoli’s cage (which is big enough to fit 2 parakeets comfortably! Told you we spoiled her) and attached new toys before we brought our new baby’s home. We decided to name them “Saku” and “Bo” but it’s impossible to know if the baby’s are male or female until they grow up. The best part is they get along! They are currently resting together on a perch cuddling! It is an absolutely adorable sight!
They are cute adorable and you just want to hug them! They are soo very light too! (They actually came on to my finger! First day! Brave and cute!) I think this house will be very lively now! I am going to waste so much money spoiling these cuties too!
I know you’ll fall in love with them too! To tell you the truth I am growing attached to parakeets! Maybe I’ll buy a bunch for myself too
After they get adjusted I will take pictures of them so you could see!
We will miss you Atoli! <333
