Higurashi Kagome

I am a Kagome supporter! I realize that there are plenty of you who don't like her at all, and I hate that. You shouldn't hate someone until you've compared the anime to the manga. In the manga is who they really are. They were created by the author, and that is who they are. I only have one thing to say to those who don't like Kagome.

I promise you that there is a big difference. She is definitely not whiney or useless and of course she accepts Inuyasha's love for Kikyou. In the anime, I have no idea why they warped Kagome, but she is much more different and likeable in the manga.

Kagome is a strong character, both inside and out, but like a normal human being, she is affected by her own feelings. She has the ability to see the shards of the Shikon on Tama, her purification arrows harm Naraku, and she has the ability to make someone feel good. She doesn't care if a person is youkai, hanyou, or human. To her, everyone is the same.

Kagome worries about many things, including problems in her own era. Like any girl, Kagome also has problems with her own love life. It is her love that hurts her more than wounds.

Kagome is always determined to help everyone; that includes her younger brother, Souta, as well. Her friends aren't the only people she wants to help. Because of her personality, she wants to help everyone. It doesn't matter who they are. It only matters that they are safe.

She worries for the ones she cannot help. All she can do is be with them and watch, but as long as they are happy, then she is as well.

She met everyone because of the Shikon no Kakera (shards of the Four Souls). They were a part of it because they wanted to stop their family curse and another reason was because it orginated from their village. It's because of those reasons why their lives have changed so intensely.

Kagome doesn't fail to amaze everyone with the things she brings to the past from her home. They put aside their time differences and travel together comfortably. The more time they are with each other, the closer they are. More time together only means a possible chance of love.

Kagome was never one to get in the way on purpose, but she gets herself in situations that are hard to get out of. Kagome never meant to hurt anyone and she doesn't purposely get in the way. She only gets there because she wants to help someone in pain, either emotionally or physically.

She is a pure and happy girl that never fails to smile. Even though she is a reincarnation of someone else, that doesn't mean she isn't just Kagome. She also has her own thoughts and her own personality. A reincarnation doesn't mean you are someone else, but you're your own person with someone else's shadow behind you.
